At the age of eight, Rose stepped on a landmine while collecting water. Now twenty-one, this is her second child. The LRA abducted her husband over four years ago. The majority of mines were planted in places frequented by civilians traveling on foot. Despite the threat of ambush or landmines, villagers must travel outside the camps to collect food and water in order to sustain their families.
